Tiago Soutelo

Welcome to my Swedish massage practice in Andermatt, Switzerland.

My goal is simple: to help you feel better, whether through Swedish massage or other holistic techniques tailored to your needs. Having studied in the United Kingdom, I bring a professional approach with a focus on your well-being.

Let’s work together to relax, heal, and restore balance to your body and mind.

What is Swedish Massage?
Swedish massage is one of the most popular types of therapeutic massage in the world, known for its ability to relax the body and promote overall wellness. It uses long, flowing strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, and tapping to manipulate the soft tissues of the body.

1 Relax the muscles
The technique focuses on relieving tension, improving blood circulation, and increasing flexibility.

2 Increase circulation
The strokes are designed to encourage the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the muscles and other tissues.

3 Reduce muscle soreness and stiffness
It helps to relieve tension from daily stress, poor posture, or physical activity.

4 Promote relaxation
The gentle nature of Swedish massage helps to calm the nervous system, which can reduce stress and anxiety.

What to Expect on a first visit?

Usually the Masseuse will make you simple questions like:

1 - What is the reason you are here?
2 - Pain, Skin irritation or open wounds, Surgeries that may affect mobility?
3 - Massage according to your needs.
4 - Last 5 to 10 minutes you will have the opportunity to rest, allowing your body to assimilate the session.

Typically, a Swedish massage involves the following techniques.

Effleurage
Long, smooth strokes, usually done at the beginning and end of the massage to warm up the body and relax the muscles.

Petrissage
Kneading or rolling the muscles to release tension.

Friction
Deep, circular movements used to target areas of muscle stiffness.

Tapotement
A rhythmic tapping or percussion technique, often with the edge of the hands or fingers.

Vibration
A shaking or trembling motion to help release muscle tightness.
